ABOUT US
So what are we all about?
Won Life is a registered Non-profit Organisation (NPO) with the vision to serve the community of Fisantekraal with excellent Christian service in the areas of health and education. This vision is carried out through our Community Health Clinic and Early Learning Centre.
Fisantekraal is a mixed race community with a government housing development and informal settlement and is situated just outside Durbanville in Cape Town. The umemployment rate is high and due to the poverty there are many social problems.
This is why we believe the provision of basic services in health and education have a positive impact and bring opportunities for future development in the area and in the lives of individuals living in the community.

What’s in the pipeline?
Changing a generation through quality education:
Our dream is to build a school that will start at Grade R and go right through to Grade 12 so that we can see an entire class of learners revolutionised by the benefit of a great education. Our current Grade R is running successfully but we would love to continue the journey we begin with each child to ensure that they achieve success. We are currently looking for land, negotiating with interested parties and researching the process. It is an exciting time, and we are looking forward to the many possibilities that lie ahead.
Ushering in a better service in health care:
The Fisantekraal Clinic has officially become an independent reporting facility. The benefit to the community is great and they now have a more comprehensive service. The operating hours have extended and the services we provide are available every day rather than certain services being available on certain days. Ultimately, our heart is to serve the community in the best way we can and by working more with the Department of Health, we are doing this to a greater level.
Seeing a solution to TB:
Tuberculosis is a serious problem in our city and country. It has developed into a complex disease with months of treatment needed resulting in an alarming rate of defaulters. Through partnership with Stellenbosch University’s Immunology Research Group, we hope to see science and medicine increase their understanding of TB so that Medical Practitioners can diagnose it more quickly, anticipate reinfections more accurately and ultimately see the disease quashed.
