I volunteer because I’m passionate about equal access to opportunities and to education. So for me this is helping the learners get access to things like technology and a space where they can learn to become their best selves.

Literacy Centre
Volunteers form the heartbeat of this programme. The more volunteers we have, the more learners we get to support.
Volunteers need no special qualifications; just the ability to read, write and speak in English and to offer one weekday morning each week.
Relevant training in the learning materials we use is provided.

Being one of the learners myself who were privileged enough to attend the Education Centre, I would say I really liked when one of the volunteers took their time to sit down with me and help me with my school work, so I would say, I love volunteering because the more I give, the happier I feel. I mean being able to help others gives me a sense of pride and identity.

This simply stands for Advocate, Ambassador and Activist and is just a fun way of highlighting the different ways that you can approach partnering with us to bring awareness of what Won Life stands for: Changing lives through education.
Advocate: Someone who promotes every child’s right to a quality education. You can be the voice of all the children who cannot speak up for themselves.
Ambassador: Someone who identifies with the work Won Life does and promotes the organisation in their circles of influence (friends, family and colleagues).
Activist: Someone who actively does something to raise funds for Won Life.
